Friday: Edinburgh ➝ Highlands
Wake up somewhat early and head to the Edinburgh airport. Rent an automatic car for roughly $125 and head out by 8:45am. 8:45 AM – 9:30 AM Stirling Castle 
Drive: 45 min (32 mi) on M9 west. Castle opens at 9:30. Why stop: One of Scotland’s grandest—perched high with sweeping views of the Wallace Monument & surrounding valleys. Spend 45 min exploring the State Apartments and ramped courtyards.

10:15 AM – 11:00 AM Loch Lomond Village (Luss) 

Drive: 45 min (36 mi) via A811 + A82 north. Why stop: Charming stone cottages right on the “bonny banks” of Loch Lomond—flat, easy walking, benches along the shore. Lunch suggestion: The Village Inn: elevated pub fare (fish & chips, Scotch eggs), riverside patio, step-free entry. Alternative: Grab a light takeaway at Luss General Store and picnic by the water. Timing: 1 hr to eat, stroll the pier, maybe dip toes in the loch.

12:00 PM – 1:15 PM Glencoe Viewpoint 

Drive: 1 hr 15 min (43 mi) along the spectacular A82 pass. Why stop: Iconic “Three Sisters” valley—pull off at the northbound layby for photos (flat gravel surface, bench). 

1:15 PM – 2:30 PM or so - Final drive to Inverlochy Castle. Check in is at 2:30pm, so this final 12pm to 2:30pm drive can be as long or as quick as you want it to be, stopping if you see a cool view or something you want to do. Castle is roughly $890 per night. Dinner at castle.
Saturday: Highlands ➝ Edinburgh ➝ Dublin
Check out around 10:30am. 3 hr drive back to airport to drop the car. 3:30p-4:45p Aer Lingus Flight $417 for 2 in economy (no business class). Easy train or cab into Dublin. Check in to Aloft Dublin City, $396/night ($1584 total) or 212,000 pts for 4 nights. Head to Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud, a 2 star Michelin restaurant for dinner. Find a pub for dinner.

Wake up and grab breakfast. Head to the Jameson distillery for a tour and tasting. Next make your way to the Guinness brewery for another tour and tasting. Dinner at Chapter One, another 2 star Michelin restaurant and drinks at a pub.

Day trip tour to Blarney Castle to see the Blarney Stone and Cork. Head back for dinner at Etto and drinks at another pub.

Another day trip tour to Galway and the Cliffs of Moher. Final night dinner at Glover’s Alley, a 1 star Michelin restaurant and drinks at a pub
